Sloth Desk — Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 29, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Sloth Lab Inc. ("Sloth Lab", "we") collects, uses, and protects information in the Sloth Desk mobile app and service ("Sloth Desk", "the App").

Sloth Desk helps small businesses answer customers when they miss a call: missed calls are forwarded to a Sloth Desk number, an assistant replies to the caller by text message using facts the business has provided, and questions it cannot answer are sent to the business owner in the App.

Information We Collect From App Users

  • Account information: your email address and an account identifier. Accounts are created by Sloth Lab when your business signs up; you sign in with a one-time link sent to your email.
  • Business information: business name, phone numbers, business hours, and the fact sheet (services, prices, policies) the assistant answers from.
  • Your replies: briefings and answers you write in the App so the assistant can respond to a customer.
  • Device information: a push notification token so we can alert you about new questions.
  • Usage analytics: Firebase Analytics collects app interactions, device type, OS version, and approximate region to help us improve the App.
  • Crash data: Firebase Crashlytics collects crash reports (device state, stack traces).

Information About Your Customers

We process the following on the business's behalf: the phone numbers of customers whose calls to the business go unanswered, call times, and the text messages exchanged with them.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

How We Use Information

  • Send and receive text messages to your customers on your behalf, and notify you when an answer is needed
  • Draft replies from your fact sheet and your briefings
  • Maintain your account and provide support
  • Understand aggregate usage and fix crashes and bugs

Service Providers

These providers process data only to provide their service to us.

  • Supabase — database and authentication (supabase.com/privacy)
  • Twilio — phone numbers, call forwarding, and text messaging (twilio.com/legal/privacy)
  • Anthropic — AI processing to draft replies from your fact sheet (anthropic.com/legal/privacy)
  • Google Firebase — push notifications, analytics, and crash reporting (policies.google.com/privacy)

Text Messaging

Every text sent to a customer tells them they can reply STOP to opt out; after that, no further texts are sent to that number. Message and data rates may apply.

No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Data Storage and Retention

Data is stored with Supabase. We keep account, business, and conversation data while your business uses Sloth Desk. Analytics data is retained per Firebase's standard retention settings.

Account Deletion

To delete your account and associated data, email admin@slothlab.app from the address you sign in with. Details: slothlab.app/sloth-desk/delete-account. Deletion is permanent.

Sloth Desk is a business tool and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from them.

Depending on where you live (for example, under PIPEDA in Canada), you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. Contact us to exercise these rights.
