Peekstamp — Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 5, 2026
This policy explains what information Sloth Lab Inc. ("we") handles for the Peekstamp desktop app, Peekstamp Pro, and the Peekstamp pages on slothlab.app.
The short version: your game files stay on your computer. We do not receive your builds, your source code, or your reports.
On Your Computer
Scans run locally and make no network requests. Reports and scan history are stored on your computer and are not sent to us. Peekstamp has no advertising and no analytics or crash reporting. The app lists every server it can contact on its communication list screen.
Timestamp Records
When you create a timestamp record, or when the app checks on a pending one, it contacts public OpenTimestamps servers. It sends one 32-byte value, made from a hash of your file hashes mixed with a random value. File names and contents are never sent. These public servers are not run by us, they will see your IP address as any server does, and timestamp data may be published permanently and cannot be deleted.
If You Buy Peekstamp Pro
- Purchase: Stripe and Link handle checkout and collect your payment details. We receive your email address, country, and order details, but not your full card number.
- License: we keep your license key and order record, and a random identifier for each installation so we can apply the 5-device limit.
- License checks: when you enter a key, and every 7 days after that, the app sends the key and that random identifier to our license server. Like any server, it also sees your IP address.
If You Contact Us
We keep what you send us, such as your email address and message, to answer you.
Website
The Peekstamp pages use no analytics or advertising cookies. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses.
How We Use Information
We do not sell personal information. Where the GDPR applies, we rely on performing our contract with you, complying with legal duties, and our legitimate interest in running and securing the service.
- To deliver and verify your license and apply the device limit
- To process purchases and refunds and keep business and tax records
- To answer support requests
- To send messages about your purchase or license. We do not send marketing email unless you agree to it.
Service Providers
These providers handle information for the purposes above, and some may process it outside your country, including in the United States.
- Stripe and Link — payments, tax, refunds, and order support (stripe.com/privacy)
- Supabase — license database (supabase.com/privacy)
- Vercel — website hosting (vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy)
- Our email provider — support email
Retention
We keep license and order records while your license is active and for as long as tax and business record laws require. We keep support messages only as long as needed to help you and for our records.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or object to how we use it. Email admin@slothlab.app. Deleting license data ends your license, and we may need to keep some records by law. Customers can also ask Link to delete data from their Link account and purchases. You can complain to your local privacy regulator. In Canada, that is the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Children
Peekstamp is a tool for game developers and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We will update this policy and the date above when our practices change, including before adding any new feature that sends information from the app.
